On the first Sunday of May in the town of Panchimalco in El Salvador, residents and pilgrims celebrate the ‘Festival of Flowers and Palms’, that honors the Blessed Mother under the titles of Our Lady of the Rosary and similarly Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. A joyful procession with dancing and volumes of flowers and palms winds through the twisty streets follows the opening celebration.
